Final Artist Statement
For our last unit in graphic design of the semester we created infographics. We got a variety of options to choose from, and I chose the design process for one of the teachers in the school. He wanted me to make an infographic which really expressed the design process. My concept was to simplify the document he had and to make it very clear to whoever views it. I met the criteria by making this a very simple yet interesting layout along with adding simple yet thoughtful colors. I composition connects the project criteria because I laid out the steps in a simple yet successful way. My craftsmanship and how it connects to the assignment is very thoughtful, for example I created little tiny designs I composition connects the project criteria because I laid out the steps in a simple yet successful way. As far as elements and principles of design girl, are use I did that to help out the visual learners. As far as elements and principles of design go, I used Color, line, emphasis, balance, shape, and many more. By using all of these it helped me create a successful piece for the teacher. I feel that I am a successful graphic designer from creating this project because it really captured what the teacher wanted as well as incorporated little key designs to help out students. If I were to improve something on this project I feel like I would change the color scheme just a little bit, I tried to make all of this not look too busy and by that I maintain some certain colors but I wish I would’ve chose a different color scheme to begin with.

Looking back on the entire semester I feel I’ve made a lot of improvement from my first project to her most recent. One of the most helpful things I’ve learned throughout the semester is that everything takes time and not the best idea comes to it first. Not only have I learned that but on a personal level I’ve learned that other people have many amazing ideas that are interesting to listen and see about, as well as when you get critiques from other people, It really helps improve your own designs. All of my work has evolved over time and a good way at first I just tried to use all the elements and principles to make a successful piece but now I know what all the mean and I’m able to use them to actually make a successful piece. I also learned about how important color schemes are and about how important placement of specific objects are. At first I didn’t think this was that important but over time I realized that there was meaning to everything you put on the paper. I really enjoyed this semester and that only grows a graphic designer but there wa all of my work has evolved over time in a good way at first I just tried to use all the elements and principles to make a successful piece but now I know what all the mean and I’m able to use them to actually make a successful peace. I really enjoyed the semester and not only did I grow as a graphic designer but I grew as a person in general. This class helped me better my communication skills along with my presentation skills and my skills as a graphic designer. Thank you Mrs. Bjork for this amazing year!!
